Located along the river between Noosa Heads and Tewantin is the thriving river community of Noosaville; one of the fastest growing tourist spots in the region. A main attraction is the lovely award winning foreshore parkland where you can take a leisurely stroll along the walkways, take in the river views and natural surrounds or gather around a BBQ or picnic rug on the grass and relax with a glass of wine and a bite to eat. One of the most important features of the Noosa Region is the Noosa River which, over the years, has been transformed from a vital economic highway to a playground for the water enthusiast and nature lover. It has become one of the most pristine waterways in Australia, admired by many for its scenic beauty.

The river flows through the Cooloola and Great Sandy National Parks bordered by unspoilt bushland, rainforests and majestic foreshores. It is a flora and fauna sanctuary where there is an abundant array of plant species, birds and wildlife in their natural habitat only a short distance away from urban activity. You can hire a boat or kayak to enjoy the many waterways, including the serene Weyba Creek or you could hire a jetski for a little faster action.

Alongside the parkland is Gympie Terrace with its tempting array of restaurants, cafes, shops and riverfront accommodation. Nearby Thomas Street also has a number of well regarded eating places, shops etc.

As a backdrop to the lovely riverfront areas of Noosaville is the economic "engine room" with its light industrial, service and retail sectors which, combined with tourism, contribute significantly to the Noosa economy; embodying "the soul of Noosa". If it is a relaxed and easygoing lifestyle you are looking for in a holiday, or somewhere simply to get away from the rush and bustle of city life, then Noosaville is definitely the place for you.
